See the big moments and the parade of big St Johns River bass from the 2016 Wolfson Childrens' Hospital Tournament! Plus, hospital CEO Mike Aubin checks-in with . . . a couple of fish. He also tells us, specifically, how Wolfson will save young lives for years to come thanks to the hundreds of thousands of dollars raised at this year's tourney.
The 27th Annual Wolfson tournament drew 466 boats for a reason. The tourney supports a childrens' hospital that saves lives and improves quality of life for thousands of kids in the region. Meet one outstanding example: Matthew Taylor. Though he has cerebral palsey, Matt runs full marathons and is days away from graduating with the rest of his high school class. These days he is also giving back to the hospital in his own way.
A fog delay, a long run and 465 other boats were among the obstacles that Butch McKee and Glenn Rogers Jr had to deal with before they even set about the business of boxing a few wild river bass. In the end they won the 27th annual Wolfson tournament and $10,000 with 25.26 pounds. How did they do it? Hear them tell it here:
