Mark Hutson and Gary Elsey dominated the Santee Open Team Tournament on Saturday, April 27, bringing a 5-bass limit weighing 34.80 lbs to the scales to win  by almost 8 pounds. They took the first-place prize of $5000, and added $260 in bonus money for taking the 2nd Big Fish award with an 8.73 lb largemouth.Marc Deschenes and Ray Walsh brought what would normally be an impressive bag of 5 fish weighing 26.87 for second place and $2500. Ronnie McCoy and Kevin Bazen took 3rd with 26.44, good for $2000.

They read books and introduced kids to the sport of tournament fishing, along with the boats and equipment used by modern anglers. it's hard to say who had more fun, the kids or the grownups.
