FLW tour major, Lake Hartwell

Since I live close to Lake Hartwell, I spent six days pre-practicing before off limits in February. I tried to find as many staging areas as I could for normal March conditions but our continual warm up since February warmed the water temps up so fast that the fish went from winter time pattern, to spawning. So I spent my three days of practice searching for spawning fish. I found enough to get me through the tournament. Day one I had a limit that weighed 14lbs 15 oz. Day two I had four fish at lunch time then my engine blew. The four weighed 10lbs 9 oz. I finished 40th, less than 4lbs out of the top 20 cut. It was an overall good tournament, 40th place paid $10,500. I caught my site fish on a 6 inch zoom white lizard. Home for two weeks then onto Lake Chickamauga TN. Check back in three weeks for that tournament update.
