Mark Hutson and Gary Elsey dominated the Santee Open Team Tournament on Saturday, April 27, bringing a 5-bass limit weighing 34.80 lbs to the scales to win  by almost 8 pounds. They took the first-place prize of $5000, and added $260 in bonus money for taking the 2nd Big Fish award with an 8.73 lb largemouth.Marc Deschenes and Ray Walsh brought what would normally be an impressive bag of 5 fish weighing 26.87 for second place and $2500. Ronnie McCoy and Kevin Bazen took 3rd with 26.44, good for $2000.

The day before competition began at Lake Okeechobee, a few FLW Tour pros visited Westside Elementary School in Clewiston, Fla. Jack Hooks are the best hook you'll never tie. GREAT for fluorocarbon which often cuts into itself when tied with traditional knots. Also, the hooks are stamped from 410 stainless knife steel - not bent, as are wire hooks. Sean Goodrich and Jack Hooks explain. You really need to check these out !
