Tracker90HP, yes, there are several areas to fish in the STL Metro area. most of them are within an hour. I fish several tourneys a year around IL and MO. There are some darn good lakes to goto just to fish and are not tourney lakes. Caryle-OK, tourneys in the low teens can win Coffeen, great lake, big fish, low HP requirements on lake Washington County, HP requirments, good lake Otter Lake, My favorite to fish, Not a big tourney lake, but i luv that place. Ballwin, great powerplant lake. Have not fished there in 2 years. Rend-OK on the bass front, great crappie lake Crab Orchard-a great lake. Many good fisherman from that area. Lake of Egypt, nice power plant lake with slot.
