To say High Rock Lake has been tough lately is the understatement of the season so far...........Justin Goodyear and Tony Waterhouse stuck to their plan and somehow managed to pull out 10.16 Lbs and take home $1650 for their 1st win of the year in the NC Div of the Anglerschoice Marine TT. If you are heading to the Rock anytime soon, here is what you will have to do-

Robert Walser of Lexington, NC walloped the bass, as well as his competitors at the March 9th Bassmaster ABA tournament on Santee Cooper. Fishing out of John C. Land III landing, Walser said he expected it would take 30 pounds to win the tournament. With only 5 anglers bringing a 5-bass limit to the scale, Walser was wrong on that count, but he was right about everything else on the day. Throwing a Weapon jig and a Chatterbait around the base of cypress trees on the upper lake, Walser culled his share of fish and brought 5 fish weighing 25.28 to the weigh-in.

Local favorite Jason Christie shouldered the pressure and brought 18-12 to the Classic stage. He tells how he did it - you may be surprised at some of the things he has to say.

Cliff Pace smoked 'em on frigid Grand Lake. He put 21 pounds, 8 ounces on the scale, six-and-half of that in one bite. He talks about decisions that lead to his successful start in the 2013 Bassmaster Classic.
