Talton Wins Walmart Bass Fishing League Volunteer Division On Lake Chickamauga

John Talton of Georgetown, Tenn., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 25 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Volunteer Division event on Lake Chickamauga. For his victory, Talton earned $3,842.
Talton indicated that he was on the north end of the lake slow rigging in 2-feet of water.

James Headrick of Harriman, Tenn., weighed three bass totaling 16 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win the co-angler division. Headrick earned $1,921 for his victory.

The next BFL Volunteer Division tournament is scheduled for April 12 on Douglas Lake in Kodak, Tenn. After the last divisional tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 9-11 Regional Championship on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard.
