35 of the 48 teams eligible to enter the CATT 2007 Lake Murray Fall Final showed up this past Saturday and a big weather change was just coming on. The water temp was as high as 60 degrees and some teams racked up on some topwater fish. Some were caught shallow on jigs as usual and the c-rig bite was pretty descent I heard also. With this years drought putting a damper on things none of the guys complained about the rain when it starting falling before and during the weigh in.

Bernie Dreher, who fished with C.B. Drher said it was about time when I handed him a check for $2100.00 as Bernie and C.B. weighed in 18 lbs 11 ozs. They took home 1st Place with their 5 bass limit. Bernie reported not having much after 1:00 but between 1:00 and 3:00 they filled the livewells.

Steve Keller and Ryan Miles said the same as they caught their two heaviest bass after 2:00. They weighed in 17 lbs 12 ozs along with 2nd Place BF and took home $1242.00.

3rd went to Hans Cansler and Raymond Heath with another limit weighing 16 lbs 5 ozs and they collected $800.00.

Coming in 4th were Darryl Starkey and Chris Daves with 5 bass weighing 14 lbs 6 ozs and they received $500.00.

5th went to Neil and Tim Huffstetler with 14 lbs 2 oz and they collected $300.00.

Finishing in 6th were Beau Dixon and Rhett Manus with 13 lbs 5 ozs and good for $200.00.

The last money place went to Rusty Bullard and Jeff Parsons with 11 lbs 15 ozs and they got $125.00.

To recap the 2007 CATT season on Lake Murray the total payback was over $22,000.00! A huge “Thank You” goes out to Steve Keller and Ryan Miles for running the CATT Murray Trail and thanks to all that entered this year and making CATT a huge success on Lake Murray! Next Spring 1st is GUARANTEED $2500.00 at the Final!
